A message from network member Mary Holmes about a planned book series (25.11.2015):
Routledge approached me to suggest I edit a book series on the Sociology of emotions (and I am in discussion with possible co-editors at present). I am in the process of putting together a proposal for such a series and it would be enormously helpful to know of any books you are writing or propose to write over the next few years, especially those for which you do not yet have a publisher. Of course it would be wonderful to make these part of the series, but even if that cannot be, it would be useful to know about future books to help write the series proposal. I am sure you will agree that this would be a good series to establish for all of us working in this area, so I would be very grateful for any input at this stage. Suggested titles for books you would like to see published (and perhaps who you might like to write them!) would also be helpful. Both monographs, co-authored books and edited collections are of interest.
I will of course let you know how it all progresses. If you have a book almost ready, but no publisher yet, I would be particularly interested. Having almost ready outputs would help get the series started more quickly. I need to clarify what the deal will be, but in conversations so far I think it quite a good one, so let me know if you have questions.
All the best and thank you
